Jenuary 16, 1942. I. Tom Parker, Buick Company, Lewrence, Funsase Dear Tom: I went to report to you again that the radio | in my ear is absolutely no good. Whoever has worked on it previously didn't improve it a bit - it is just as bad as it ever ws. | | I drove to Columbia, Missouri, on Tuesday night and back again Wednesday night, and we tried to tune in voth ways, but we just couldn't got good reception. I had Vanee Hall, Jack Ballard, Ray Evans, and Charlie Walker in | the car with me, and we would go along for a little while with the reception fairly good, then it would cut off. It . wes very indistinct even with the antenm on. If any parts were replaced in the radio they certainly weren't the parts that were causing the trouble. I just wanted to report to you that the service is not at all satisfactory. ยข Sincerely yours, | Director of Physical Education and Recreation, FCA: AH : Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
