THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE KANSAS CITY, KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL MEDICINE February 22, 1942 Dear Coach and Team, I should like to express my feeling of pride in your play in the game of last Friday night. When the going was tough, you didn't falter but tightened your belts, instead, as if to say- "We've got a job to do and we are going to do it? It's that fighting cour- age that is going to win this war for us. I admire you because you have a wholesome appreciation of your opponents , yet you are not overawed by them. You know, now, that you have the plays and the guiding force on the bench to come through with flying colors. You have won in the past and you can do it again with that old K.U. fight. Come what may, you are a fine bunch of fellows and I wish you could know how much [I have enjoyed your play this year. Good luck to you. Sincerely, “Dwon Nike
