Dear Doc:

Would like to work up a column concerning
you and Frsoty Cox -=<- or more specifically your rivalry with
him --=- as it appears to me there is a good chance of Kansas and
Colorado both landing in the N.C.A.A. playoffs in K.C. next March.

If you can take time off you might tell may
what Frosty was as a player and coach and why you and he don't
get along too well these days. Of course anything else you care
to include will be swell.

Certainly glad to see you nip the “ggies for
the ninth straight time. They always go all out against Kansas
but I'ye been telling anti-Jayhawkers over here that K.U. has been
gpning any basketball luck they might be enjoying.

May not get to see you much or write about you
much for a while as I have accepted a position on the K.C. Journal
sports staff under Parke Carroll. I don't know what they'll have
me doing,but if I don't get on well have been promised my old job
pack. Feel that it is a fine opportunity and that if I do well

can go on from there to something bigger. Supposed to report there
