COPY August 26, 1941. My’ Ed Hall, Sublette, Kansas. Dear Eddie: On my desk this morning I received a wire from Otto Schnellbacher as follows: "Have decided to attend Kansas State. Thank you for your consideration," He told me over the telephone last night that he was coming up to be a Jayhawker. He certainly made a kaleidoscopic change from feathers to furs Maybe the cool- ness of the weather last night due to the shower caused him to make a hasty change of raiment. IT am sending you a carbon copy of the letter I wrote the young man, and I mean it. Some fellows sell their académic birthright for a mess of pottage. We will be happy to see you when you come in. With all good wishes, I am Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education and Recreation, FCA:AH Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
