Ce Allen — , ye Baskethall Coach University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doc: I am again writing you this year to again extend to you a most cordial invitation to be the guest of the Naismith Basketball League at their opening night of play Wednesday, December 4th at the Municipal Auditorium. We are making very elaborate plans for a grand opening this season even more so than last year and we do not feel that the opening of our fine Basketball League would be complete without your presence. We are also planning a big booster luncheon that afternoon, rather at noon, on Wednesday, December 4, at which we will have between twenty-five and thirty mayors of the various smaller towns surrounding Kansas City here as our guest. iL am also writing all of the other Big Six Basketball “oaches and extending them similiar invitations to par- ticipate in the opening of our League that night and to also be on hand for our luncheon that noon. We will pay the expenses of the Big Six Basketball Coaches to and from Kansas City for this occasion. Please let me know, Doc, as soon as possible whether or not you can be here for we certainly are counting on youuto help us out and I know that you most certainly will if there is no conflict on that date. Please let me hear from you by return mail. Publi as Manager Naismith Basketball League BP: ml
