Dear friend "Phog";

Professor Clarence Prouty Shedd, of Yale
University, will be on our campus two days next week
for conferences in furthering a nation-wide study of
religion on university campuses. As one phase of this
study he is desirous of conferring with-a select group
representing the faculty and administration. At the
request of the Chancellor, who is very cordially in-
terested in this study, I am endeavoring to arrange
the conferences suggested by our guest.

Will you be one of those who will meet to
confer with Professor Shedd? The faculty group will
have dinner (50¢ per plate) in the Old English Room of
the Union Building at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15th.
The meal will be followed by informal discussion.

Professor Shedd has made extensive research
in this field and is the author of two significant
volumes, "Two Centuries of Student Christian Movements"
and "The Church Follows Its Students." His coming
should prove of constructive value to our own campus
religious work; and your cooperation and counsel will
be very much appreciated.
