March 16, 1940 Dr. F.C.Allen Athletic Office University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor Allen: Thank you so much for your letter of March 13th, and I think it was grand of you to send it special delivery. Fred was in a hurry for the prescription, of course, and that enabled me to get it off to him right away. My, but your boys certainly did do a fine job of walloping my Alma Mater's team the other night at Wichita. Congratulations! I only hope luck is with you tonight at Oklahoma City, and that your boys can down that Aggie team, I noticed in last night's paper where Hank Luisetti is going to play with 20th Century-Fox team in the tournament at Denver. I surely am beginning to get cold feet about our lads, as there are certainly going to plenty of good teams in that tournament. If they will only fix the brackets right this year, I believe we will have a chance. Anyway, I under- stand this is the last year the tournament is to be held in Denver and that it is to be in St. Louis next year. Thanks again for the fine letter and the tonic pres- cription. Best of luck tonight, and kindest regards to all the fam ily. Sincerely yours, — a 3 f i ~ } i !
