Dear Mr. Allen:

Pursuant to our letter of May 4th, regarding
the 6-only #1702 gym mats that you purchased from us,
we wish to advise that we have received the following
letter from the above file, our source of supply of this
item.

"We are in recéipt of yours of the 4th,
wherein you complain of the six gymnasium
mats, delivered to tle University of ansas,
Lawrence, Kansas.

Please be advised that if the mats are returned
to us, freight prepaid, we will rebuild them
to your customer's complete satisfaction with-
out any additional cost."

This seems to be a very fair offer that this manu-
facturer has made,and if ym agree, then we suggest that
you return the mats to them, writing them direct with
reference to their letter of May 6th which was written
to us, to the attention of the writer.

I¢ you prefer that we handle the crrespondence
then please write us when the return is mades Otherwise,
for the time being we will consider our file closed on
the matter. We trust that we are handling this complaint
in accordance with your wishes.
