Allen, Director of Physical Education, Varsity Basketball Goach. Dear Mr. Allen: We acknowledge receipt of your May 2nd letter and we are very much concerned by the present eondition of the 6-only #1702 gym mats 5* x 8! that you purchased from us last Fall. We must frankly admit that we are not very well acquainted with this particular item of merchandise and a call by one of our representatives would perhaps not materially help the handling of your complaint. we have written our source of supply, the Premier Gym Mat Co., 149 Wooster Street, New York City, N. Y., and have re- quested that they contact you immediately via letter and further that they have one of their representatives, if possible, make personal inspection of the mats. We have given them in detail your description of the present condition of the mats and we believe from this information they will have suffi cient information to know just what should be done. We have asked them to send us copies of any correspondence to you and we will keep this matter on open file and see that it is promptly taken care of. We trust that our actions for the time being will be satisfactory to you. If not please do not hesitate to write us further. Very trely yours, WaA OMPSON HDWE ee CAA: RR Claim Departme nt
