ta KANSAS STATE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND APPLIED SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ATHLETICS MANHATTAN, KANSAS May 25, 1939 Dr. Forrest C.Allen Varsity Basketball Coach University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear “Phog": It was mighty nice of you to make the change in basketbell dates so that we could have at least two home games in our second semester. I remember years ago that you were handed a schedule that was tough on your team and the home folks, and I alweys admired your attitude in accepting your schedule and playing it through without a whimper. It seems to me that in the Big Six it should be the prime object in making schedules to so arrange them that every- one should have a fair deal. If this cannot be done then they should have a new deal. I enjoyed our short visit at Lamoni, Iowa, and trust that this summer we will have an opportunity of playing a little golf with you giving me two strokes on the front nine and three on the back nine in order to make it interesting for you. Sincerely yours, f ° M. F, Ahearn Director
