10 December, 1940 MADISON SQUARE GARDEN BASKETBALL STARTS 7th YEAR Ned Irish, that basketball penperbox, who was the first to conceive, (and prove!) that basketball can pay dividends, rather than continue as a white elephant, has arranged another attractive card of intersectional games at the Madison Square Garden, Beginning with the night of December 14th, and ending with the evening of March 10, Ned has arranged no less than 16 double headers, everyone of which should pack the famous auditorium to the rafters.
