Dear Coach Allen:

I should sincerely welcome an opportunity to work some
basketball games on your schedule; if not this year,
maybe next.

The Big Six has honored me with assignments before, at
Norman, but Oklahoma fans and sports writers did not turn
nip ups over my work. However, I wouldn't blink an eye
to please them and Bruce wouldn't want me to.

That should not preclude my working in other field houses
in the Conference.

I respectfully urge you to discuss my qualifications with
Bruce Drake and George Edwards for whom I worked two
successive seasons. Altho' I have no idea what these two
gentlemen think of my work I have complete confidence that
they will "lay it on the line" just as it is and that's
all I can ask for.

Possibly you could find a place for me on your pre-season
schedule. Enclosed is a copy of my schedule as of this date.

I shall look forward to seeing you at the Kansas City
meeting.
