Dear “"Phog";

This will acknowledge the receipt of the check
in the amount of $4,163.88, together with the report sup=
plementing the report which you made on June 4.

This will also acknowledge your letter of Jue
15, in which you say you will follow up with Dan Partner
the matter of getting the write-ups into the Guide for the
Western playeoff and the final game. I am writing to Tower,
telling him you will follow through on this. I have already
sent into him all the other material about the Tournament.
The only thing that remains now is to get Partner to send in
these two write-ups and then it will be complete.

This will also acknowledge your letter of June
24, regarding the three basketballs which are still to be
sent to Southern California. I will write HerffJones about
this matter at once.

By the way, I had a talk with Jolm Griffith at the
time of the Big Ten Pacific Coast meet and he tells me they
are planning to have an Executive Committee meeting in Chicago
along in August sometime and he hoped you and I could arrange
to be present at that time. I suppose they will want it
about the time of the AlleStar game. I think I have con=
vineed John Griffith that our future plans should call for
some method of pro»-rating net profits with the teams in»
volved.
