January 10, 1943 Dear Dr. Allen, First we want to thank you very much for our re-modelled basement. We all are enjoying it very much. Our greatest problem at the present is that of transportation. We have approximately twelve children who would be interested in some sort of transportation if it could be provided. Our present taxi service is not oo for several reasons. One is the additional burden that falls upon the parents of one or two children when a third child is in. Another is that the taxi company is not quite reliable; they are frequently guilty of see to make the calls, which brings: about a situation in which a mother is late to work and inclined to be angry at the nursery school.
