Why would it not be a good thing, Ole, for you te write Floya Rowe
stating that you had written Ste Clair and had sent a carbon copy of Saint's
letter to me, and ask Floyd to send you a copy of his letter as of tay 14, 1940
to yous This would enable Saint and you to see what Floyd Rowe has said to
Chet Brewer, and also what assurances that Chet gave Floyds If you and Saint
think well of it, perhaps Floyd may care to write another letter to chet —

A few yoars Artic Eilere told me that they were to put in the nomination
of Georges Edwards, and that Professor French was chairman of the Nominating Com-
mittes, but when the mtter was discussed Artie Eilers told the chairman that he
had letters from the coaches of the Missouri Valley and the Big-Six Conferences
and they were all uminimously for me with the exception of the University of
Missourie I em very sure that the majority of the coaches have not changed
either in the Missouri Valley or the Big-Sixe if you feel that that might be
@ good move, I am very'sure that Henry Iba and the Missouri Valley group would
be glad to do the same thing again, es did Louis Menze, Harold Browme, and the
Big-Six majority groupe What do you think about this?
