.Dear Ted:

I would not have missed you for anything in the world. Was at thd
meeting of our Selective Service Board. Just imagine my surprise
and disappointment when I found that you were here in the flesh and
had gone. We certainly want to see you sometime next week. ‘Wire me
my expense telling me when you may come. I don't want to miss you
the next time.

Our second semester begins February 11. One of our star forwards,
Streamel, leaves for sea duty this week. There is a spot open for
you and we need you in the championship final grind. Wire me my
expense telling me your possible intentions.
