Last early fall when Shanmedies Mallott arrived
from San Francigco just two weeks prior to the school opening, he
-ealled me ty phone and said compulsory physical education is out. He
and President Middlebush are both opponerits of compulsory militdry
training and Chancellor Mallott is against compulsory physical, training. °

If you have an opportunity any time Friday, I
would be glad to personally give you some added information on our
setup. I believe the trend is toward play fields further removed from

_ the university for recreative purposes, I have in mind a un om
