Hotel CONTINENTAL LOUIS MISSOURI eS. MYERS President a March Eighteenth — ' 1940 ; Dear Dr. Allen: Acknowledging your letter of March 15 with reference to the last paragraph in your letter regarding the University of Colorado team coming in on the 19th wish to advise receipt of telegram from Mr. Walter B. Franklin, New York City advising us to cancel seservation made for Colorado Basketball team as he had made reservations before he left Boulder and asking us to furnish you with this information. We have not had definite information as to how many teams are going to make reservations except that the University of Southern California wrote in last week and have reserved rooms for them. It so happens that during this week our hotel is booked to capacity by the Missouri Valley Electric Association convention, therefore, it is just as well with us that the Colorado team had made their reservations. I am sure they can get the same rate in fact this morning when I received your letter I talkej to the Phillips Hotel to see if they could take care of one of your teams, in case we would not have vacant rooms, they advised me they would be glad to at the same rate. I presume that this will be satisfactory and hope that it will not be necessary to send any of your teams else where, but I am simply protecting ourselves so they will have no trouble in getting accomodations, teo Fhe Phillips is only one block from the Hotel Continental and accomodations will be nice there, Dr, F.
