Dear Phog:

I have received your recent letter in which you
requested one of my photographs. Am sending it under
Separate cover. It surely is a honey.

You suggested that I write some type of article.
This I am attempting to do, focusing my attention on
the banks or backboards.

I am not anxious to start any controversy, since
I am going on the Rules Conmittee for the first time.
Iwas on the track Rules Committee for a number of
years, and I noticed that every new man that was ap-
pointed to this committee was full of ideas and lots
of conservation. I hope to be open minded to new sug-
gestions but yet conservative.
