Dear Dr. Allen:

Your letter of April 12th received, I think you know
how I feel as to what should be done with the money from
the N.C.A.A. Tournament. I don't see why the N.C.A.A.
would want to take the entire amount of profits. I think
the idea of giving them $7,500.00 as a reserve fund is
fair enough. I know that the teams competing in the
N.C.A.A. tournament would feel much better if they would
share in the remainder. As you know, these tournaments
mean an extra amount of work to all concerned. I am sure
that if these people taking part are not made to feel
they are helping their own situation that the future in-
terest in such a tournament will be nil.
