that those playeoffs within a district which were looking forward to selecting
the representative from that district would be handled by the teams involved;
that they would stand the risk and that they would get profite which came fron
such play-offs As to the Noatorn playcoft and Matern play-off and the

final game however, it ws my understanding we should be able to guarantee
expenses of the teams which are involved. |

Now, in your notations regarding the distribution of receipts, your
third item dealing with the balance of net receip states that traveling expenses,
that is, first class reilroad fare and standard lower berth pullman only should
bepaid, thet there should be no payment of hote} bills, meals and other exe

as : not my understanding and I don't believe we should be
operating on that basis in our basketball tournament. Im other words, I believe
there should be a slight change in this matter of distribution of receipts to
conform with what, I am sure, was the understanding of our Rules Comittee
men with respeet to item three under the general heading “Distribution of
Receipts" in your letter of September 10.
