- Now for the semi-finals and finalse Since I was successful in getting
the Rules Comittee meeting here in Kansas City and the Coaches Association
as wellgsthe play-off at the same time, Olsen nemed me as chairman to handle
these two play-offse So you see I am almost wishing that we do not win it
this year becemse I will have my hands full. We have already rented the
Municipal Auditorium which seats 13,000 for ordinary purposes, but abou
8,000 for basketball when the floor is clearede

On Merch 22 and 23 the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth District
pley-offs will be held in Kansas City, and on the 30th are the finalse
The dates of all these meetings are as follows:

Hec, would you mind sending me a carbon copy of the information that
John has written you, and then I in turn can answer your questions more
specificallye I find that I will be deluged with so many angles of pro=-
moting the Coaches Association and the Tournament that unless I Imow what
the other fellow wants to ask I am afraid I would be elaborating too fully ‘
on too many angles at hande I have been asked to head the entertainment
committee of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and I am on
the Rules Committee, and having charge of this play-off really gives me
plenty to doe

I am mighty glad that you are going to be able to help out because
we certainly need a fellow with a lot of initiative and unbounded energye
John doubtless told you that the last NeCeAche tournament lost them about
$2500e00~. We made money here on our tournament but they lost every place
elses I have great confidence that we are going to make that money back
if all of us will put our shoulders to the wheele If we do not pay out
this year that will mean the end of the tournament because the Nel eAohe
will not contimue to carry a large debte Write and give me the possibilities
of Sem Barry's UeS.Ce team wimming the Pacific Coaste They have got the
southern end sewed up, have they not? But what chance has the northern
representative to beat them in the playoff?
