Dear Phog:

I think it was fine of you to have the McGraw-Hill Book Com-
pany send me your new book, “Better Basketball." This is
the best book that I have read on the subject, and I want. to
congratulate you on the contribution you have made. I am
sure that your services will be rewarded and appreciated by
all who have an opportunity to read the book.

We didn't give the old grads much to shout about this fall
but I feel that some progress was made, even though it may
not show on the scoreboard, and that we will start out this
fall a little better co-ordinated.

I will look forward to seeing you when we come to Lawrence
this fall.
