Mrs. French is the wife of Bud French, a returned veteran in the Navy who is studying to be a coach, and the brother of Bert Hall, who has also been discharged but has not ‘enrolled’ in a university yete So you see, I have several high recommendations concerning yous I want you to know how very much I appreciate a Missouri and 5 Purdue man referring these two fine boys to us here at Hansas,. You have been very generous in your praise of my son Bobs. who. is now a naval lieutenant junior grade on a flat top in the Pacific with the medical corps, If you will be kind enough to write to Albert Smagiel and Lee Storer, I would appreciate it very muche I would be delighted to have both of these boys with us and, if you think it would be helpful for me to era them, I will follow your advise in the matter. I want to congratulate you on your-fine service with the Marines. The Marine Corps has always been top in all arms of the service with me. We lost Lt. Te. Pe Hunter on Guam a year ago last July 21.
