I am writing to you in regard to a badketball player that we |

have down here at O'Reilly General Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
In my estimation he is one of the most natural ball players that I
have ever seen and I have seen several All-Americans play. I person=
ally think that he is a better ball player than your own Charlie
Black, and that is saying quite a bit. He has scored 20,21,23 and 31
points in the last four games. The last being against Soutmrest State
Teathers College, who incidently has only lost one game this yeare

His name is Henry Vaughan and he is from Ohio. In his Senior year
in High School he was named as a forward on the All-State team. He is
20 years old and about 5 ft. 10 inches. He has heard a lot about your
teams at KU and seems to be very much interested in going to some
school that he can play a lot of basketball

If you wonder why I am interested in this man going to Kanaas, well
I am from Ellsworth, Kansas and am very much interested in athletics
at Kansas University, I believe you know Emest Vanek, who was Freshman
- coach with you some years back, he is also from the same towne
