Dear Dr. Alien:

A short time ago I wrote the office of the registrar
regarding courses and schedules for the coming
semester. They have complied with my request for
the material and have suggested that I write you
about another matter of which I had asked. Plainly
it is this: Is there any possibility of working in
your department while doing graduate work at the
University?

Prior to entering the Navy I spent five years as
basketball coach and physical education instructor
at the Hays high school. Assisting also in the
sports of football and track.

In addition to my Bachelor's degree from Ft. Hays
I have completed one summer's work at the University
of Missouri in the field of Physical education.

As matters stand I should be discharged S00n aiter
Ehe 15th of this month. I plan to return uo the
mid-west and unless someone offers me avery good
job I will try to do some graduate work.
