enough to pass a minimum standard. If we have learned anything from
this war, it is that the ability to swim is very important. The
ancient Romans used to denote complete ignorance by the saying,

"he can neither read nor swim", We have been teaching reading but
forgetting the swimming,

5e With an adapted sports program for those physically unable to
take the regular program, it would become unnecessary to excuse
anyone from/required P. EB. Wealth officials would determine in
what type activity a man could participate and the physical
education department would adjust its program to suit the needs
of that individual.

This letter is very sketchy but I think it may help to
erystalize our thinking about next year and the post-war era.
