THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN, NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR January S, 1943. br. F. C. Allen Basketball Coach University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: Thanks for your letter of January 6th relative to changing the date from the 23rd to the 27th. While I recognize the fact that you do play Oklahoma on the 26th, I also see that you are playing them at home which does not énconvenience you any on the travel end of it... From the standpoint of the crowd, I can understand that thoroughly too. However, I do wish you would give it one more thought and put it up to whomever you think would do the most good to push the game and try to work it out so that we can still play you on the 27th. I am pressing on this a little and would like to be a little insistent from our standpoint of travel, considering also the war movements and all other things that must be trans- ported. Thanks for the kind words relative to our ball games. While I have been losing them by one, you have been winning them by one. You certainly mst have had a nice eastern trip. With best wishes, I am Sincerely yours,
