Dear Doc:

I have secured Gibbs for the saturday nights'
games this week. Eddie Hogue will work both nights. Now
I need another official:for friday night. Lance is working
at Lincoln saturday night and at Ames Feb.1. I doubt that he
could get away fro friday night. Even if he could he would
not want to work in your game with the Olathe Naval Base.

I imagine that Hinshaw could work friday night
if you think he is our next best bet. I have talked until I
was blue in the face about the injustice to the guard to allow
the offensive man to use an illegal start of the dribble.
Some officials just can't distinguish this when they see it,
or just won't call it.

If we don't use Hinshaw our next best bet for
friday night would be Brown or Ellis to work with Hogue.
Peterson is out of the city of Topeka and would not be avail-
able.

Let me know at once your feeling in this matter.

P.S. Just to get the record straight Pullian was not nemed
ove Hogue. In fact the composite assignments have not
been sent out and at won't be because of the uncertain-
ities of the assigments. I jusu happened to put his name first
in writing you.
