I wish to acknowledge receipt of your night letter asking for
a date with the University of Kansas basketball team for a game
during this season.

Doctor Allen is speaking today at Knoxville, Iowa and is not in
the office, but he asked me to write to you and tell you that
the Kensas schedule is full and it will be impossible for hin to
play your team, much as he would like to.

Undoubtedly, you will hear from Doctor Allen in the very near
