October 31, 1941 Mr. Robert Earl Alien Room 44 a ‘ Morris Hell University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, Pa. Dear Bobby, I have just sent Roland Logan a check for $17.81, the same to take care of four tickets for the Army-Navy game. The $4.40 is the price of the tickets and 2l¢ is for the registered letter in which the tickets are enclosed. I've asked that they be sent to you at your Philadelphia address. These tickets are for you and Eleanor and for Mother and me, if I can make it. If either of us cannot make it, then you no doubt will have no difficulty in selling the ticket for the face value or even make 50¢ or $1.00 on the same if something should come up so that we | could not come up. Roland Logan says that the ticket alottment will be made in about a week or 10 days, so in about two weeks from now if you do not hear from Rolend you write to hin. $s) 4g Head Trainer at the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, because I want you and Eleanor to see the game and of course I want to see it with you, Eleanor, and Mother if I can. But I've spent the good money so I want you and Eleanor to have a good time. We have school here before our game with Missouri November 26. Mother could go carlics and visit Jane and then run up end visit with you and Eleanor before the game. She cannot see why I cannot leave and go up early, but I have a 9:50 class on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridey in Theory and Practise of Athletic “raining -- a three-hour course and it's a solid. Then I have a two-hour course in Varsity Basketball at the same time on Tuesday and Thursday. Then I have ny basketball. This along with ny administrative work, and a speaking engagement at Minneapolis, Kans. on November 19 ties me up pretty completely. It might be well for you to write Mother suggesting that she come for a visit, but I do not know whether she will do it or not. there's nothing to detain her $f,ebe yeRtE SasEaty at the present responsibility of home ties
