The freshmen have Billy Dewell, the Newton star who is a brother of
Johnny Dewell that you played against down at 8.M.U. He is quite a boy.
We alao have Bud French, a star from Central High Sehool of Kansas City.
Marvin Sollenberger and pick Miller are coaching the freshmen. Murray
Brown went to Topeka in the ical education set up in the Topeka High
School, so we hired Selly and Dick. Both of these boys have one semester
of eligibility, but I figured they would not be productive of much good
especially when we are going to Madison Square Garden and we would have
to ohenge the line up the second semester, so I suggested to Solly it
wouldn't be worth while - so he is not out for basketball. I will try
te send you some clippings from the Kensen from time to time so that you
ean keep up with the progress of the tean.

! Mother and I both spoke about Penn's loss to Penn State last Saturday.
I know that mst have bean terribly disappointing, but upsets wil}, come
and doubtless Penn faced the problem of finding good forward passers.
Maybe Penn State capitalized on that after the los& to the Navy.

Give my regards to Barney Sheridan and tell him to keep on hitting
