ABDALLAH BENSFIT FUND Proposed By-Laws This Fund shall be known as the ABDALLAH TEMPLES BENEFIT FUN: The membership of this Fund shall he composed of voluntary members, who are Shriners in good standing in Abdallah Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. ) This organization is separate and apart from abdallah Temple, and the affairs of the two bodies shall in no way be connected. It is expressly understood that the Temple has no supervision or control over the Benefit Fund, and shall make no expenditure and contract no debts contingent upon their being paid out of monies of the Benefit Fund. The Officers of this group shall be a President, Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, and three Trustees who shall be elected at the Annual Meeting by secret ballot, and who shall constitute the Executive Committee. Any member of Abdallah Shrine Temple who is under the age of fifty (50) years, and is in good standing in the Temple, and at the time of his application is in good health may make application for membership in the Fund. Said appli- cant shall file such application blank as may he prescribec giving his age, residence address and his beneficiary. The application must also be accompanied by the sum of two dollars and twenty cents ($ 2.20) Upon the death of a member of this Fund, each member of the Fund shall pay on call the sum of ¢ 1.10; $1.00 of this amount shall be placed in the death fund, and 10 cents shall be placed in contingent fund to cover postage, printing, clerk hire, services of the Secretary-Treasurer, etc., and such expense shall not exceed amount in contin- gent fund. All Calls must be paid within thirty (30) days from the date of call and members of the Fund not paying within that time shall be dropped from the roll and neither he nor his beneficiary or beneficiaries shall he entitled to any benefit from the Pund. The amount a beneficiary shall receive shall be 4 sum. equivalent to One Dollar for each member of the Fund in good standing on the first day of the month, during which the death of the participating member occurs, provided that the amount of the benefit shall never exceed Five Hundred Dollars. In the event the amount of cash in the Renefit Fund on the first day of any month shall be in excess of $ 5,000.00 by an amount sufficient to pay 4 benefit, the next following benefit shall be paid from such excess and the members notified of su.ch payment. At the death of a member, unpaid dues in Ajbdallah Temple if there be any shall be deducted from the Benefit. Immediately upon the advice of the death of a member of the Fund the Secretary-Treasurer shall remit to the bene — eficiary of the deceased member the amount due as providec above.
