In the Sunday conference question was raised as to your salary
unier the new arrangement. I find on inquiry that the Regents had
no thought of the reduction of your present salarye
The Regents, of course, have no authority directly over the part
assigned by the Athletic Board. But I am confident that the latter |
will do their parte I shall, you may be sure, advocate that solution.

You will have much to do in launching the coaches school or course
in addition to coaching duties. 3

The Regents were unanimous in their earnest desire to conserve to
athletics and to physical education at K. U. your great talents.

I need not assure you that after years of close and friendly
association, of my continued cooperation with you in an effort to
our athletics back once more into a favorable condition.

These have not been happy days for either of us = I hope We can go =
