INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS += APRIL 15, 1941

The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Kansas Congress of
Parents and Teachers, met in the Dining Room of the Booth Hotel,
Independence, Kansas, April 15, 1941, at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. James H. Whipple, the President, presided and the following mem-
bers of the committee were present: Mrs. E. EH. Miller, Mrs. George
Winters, Mrs. Norah Luther, Mrs. D. D. Harbaugh, Mrs. &. Le Jenkins,
Mr. Fred Smith, Mrs. Le R. Fulton, Miss Hazel Thompson, Mrs. W. R.
Loder, Mrs. Ben Mc Camant, Editor, Kansas Parent Teacher, and Mr.
James Sharpe, Chairman of the Student Loan Fund committee, were also
present,

REPORT OF THE DISTRICT RULUS COMMITTES

Mrs. &. &. Miller, presented the report of the Committee on District

Rules and Procedure and showed mimeographed copies of same.

MOTICN, by Miss Hazel Thompson, that the report be accepted and that

the work of the committee be approved with commendation and thanks.

REPORT OF THE LIBRARY CHAIRMAN

A letter from Miss Helen Wagstaff, Library Chairman, was read asking

for approval of suggestions for promoting the Reading Project and pre-

senting the proposition of having assistant Chairmen in-each district,

MOTION, by Mrs. BE. BE. Miller, that the Library Chairman, be authorized

to make up a report form, for reporting on fifteen (15) books read from

the ‘suggested list' and a form for a certificate of recognition to be:

given those completing requirements at the State Convention.CARRISD. .

There being no further business the meeting adjourned.

The Pre-Convention meeting of the Board of Managers of the Kansas Con-
gress of Parents and Teachers, was called to order by the President,
Vrs. James H. Whipple, at 9:00 o'clock, in the Sample Room of the
Hotel Booth, Independence, Kansas, Tuesday April 15, 1941.
