Dear Dr Allens: I talked with your secretary over the phone yesterday concerning this matter. At the suggestion of the National fed Cross Headquarters, we are call- ing a meeting of the representatives of Red Cross Chapters which have a considerable number of their residents employed by the Sunflower Prdinance Plant, or by construction companies building additions thereto. That Company has given the Red Yross War Fund very poor support in the past. The meeting will be held at the Kansas City, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, 727 Minnesota avenue, Kansas City, Kansas, at noon Friday, February eleventh. The represenvatives from the other chapters will be the guests of our chapter at a luncheon. That time was fixed because a representative from National. Head- quarters will be in the city at that time. We consider this a very important matter in- volving very substantial amounts of money for the chapters concerned. We hope you can have a repres- entative present, preferrably yourself. Please write us as to whether you can be present. A hag L. Bates, Manager. G- very
