Qn behalf of the Douglas County Red Cross War Fund drive,
I want to thank you sincerely for your corporation's generosity
in giving us rent free the fine office space in the Jayhawker
Theatre bufilding, which you generously donated for our Red Cross
drive. "

I also want you to imow that we appreciate your many
personal acts of kindly cooperation to the Red Cross. The fact
that your theatres are putting on 4 oollestion for one week will |
ve a very definite monetary help to ow local chapter as well.
When our budget was made last October our local chapter sould not
foresee the tremendous drain that would have to be met on the
home service and hospital nursing. The expenditures have been
three times what was estimated, Therefore, the contributions
that are made at the theatres will help materially in permitting
these fine Red Cross services to function to their fullest ad-
vantage here in Lawrence and Douglas County. :
