Canuteson, M.D. as Pp (West) Mrs. Roger Williams Dr. Forrest C, Alien, 801 Louisiana Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: T am raking 2a summary report to vou on the ¥%.TU, Red Cross Drive, May I say at the outset, that I de- rived a great deal of personal vleasure and satisfaction in this drive and a large measure of this is due to the fun in working out something with a dynamic fellow like vou, AS you know, I have had charge of a number of other *.U. drives - in fact I think this is the fifta one that T have conducted and JI want vou to know that TI have never experienced such wonderful coopveration as I experienced this time. In the other drives there were always a few dragging their feet and, in a few cases, nut thumbs down on the Red Cross, But in this drive there wasn't a single person to my knowledge, who didn't come across in some way and make a definite contribution, You will observe that among the Hill rneonle there are over one hundred and fifteen that gave from $10.00 to $100.00, When vou take into consideration that the Hill crowd has had rough sledding in the last few years - that is, most of them haven't seen a raise since before the davs of Munich - their response has been all the more wonderful,
