To the Faculty and Employees sf the University:

We do not need on argument as to why we should give to the
Red Cross, nor do we need to specify reasons as te hcw much we can
give. You lmow the answers to bith.

 

I have never talked to a Marine, a soldier er a sailcr but
who, upon every tccasion, said, “The Red Cross is tops with me. I
have already made my contribution. It is the thing that keeps us
living e ” zi

I like this sligan: IF YOU CAN'T GO -- GIVE. And anether
hits me right in the middle: GIVE TO THOSE WHO GAVE. Why sheuld I
say mere?

The Red Cross drive started March lst, but sinee we had
vacation, I th.ught it better fcr this. letter t» arrive at your desk

after the semester vacation is tver and you are ready te put first
things first.

To facilitate your giving we are not asking anytne to call
upon you, but we are asking that you mail your donstion to Room 107
Robinscn Gymnasium. Preswaing that you will make a scntributisn, we
ate enclosing the Red Cross sticker and lapel clip, but if yeu find
it impessible to give, kindly return them te this cffice.

The faculty and emplsyees of the University have always given
intelligently and responded most generously. I know that yeu will de

your share, The students are alse being given on oppertunity to make
their contribution.
