December 10, 1941 Gormanding Officer Keesler Picld Keesler Field, Mississippi Dear Sir, I am very happy to recommend Pvt. William G. Wade of your 399- School Squadron, Keesler Field, Miss. Williem Wade entered the University in the school year of 1958- 39. Me was out for freshman basketball and did a splendid job. He was studious, dependable, energetic, and clean in his habits. Wade mows how to take responsibilities and also how to discharge orders. His spirit on the team was most commendable and I was sorry that it was not possible for him to return to school the following year. Due to circumstances over which he had no control he was forced to forego his work at the University. Had he been able to con- tinue, it is my definite opinion that he had the ability to make a Varsity letter. In my coaching I stress, loyalty, training, cooperation, and ,/*teeam work. Bill Wade had the requisites that make a fine ath- lete and a real gentleman. I am happy to recormend him to you without reservation. Sincerely yours, © Director of Physical Education and Recreation FCA/pg Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach
