Dear Mr. Allen:

Your letter of January 13, 1942 with regards to the
Mr. Steve Meade has been received.

For your information all candidates for physical
instructorship in the U. S. Navy must have a degree
from an accredited collece and whenever possible

a major in Physical “ducation.

Lt. Commander J. J. tunney must interview and pass
upon each candidate and as he is due in your part
of the country soon, I should have Mr. Meade con-
tact him. In the meantime I will forward your
letter to Mr. Tunney.
