Dear Dec:

I have been in the United States army for five months now,

and am elegible te apply for Officers Training Schoel. Yester-

day I applied fer Officers Training in the Medical Administration
Corps. The board of officers here which selects applicants requires
each applicant to present a number of letters of recommendation

fer this training. If you feel you can recommend me, I will
appreciate it greatly if yeu will address a letter to "To Whom

It May Concern," and address the envelope to me here.

I have been receiving the Kansas City Star here and followed
with gw much interest your team of this year. Would certainly likee
to have been able to see them, especially the K.U.-Oklahoma Aggie
game in Kansas City. Guess that must have been some ball game.

Lawrence recently. Congratulations!
