I eum happy to say thet I have know Elwood Pitser for « great mwber of years. In 1929 I mew him as a senior in the Springfield Digh School. "Pop" Werner and I were conducting eoaghing school at ‘ittenberg Ccllege, Springfield, Shio. Young Piteer served as onc of my dezonstraters during my sumer @oaching course. I followed him through his four years at Witten- —a and he was one of the outetanding athletes of that Piteer is eggressive, loyal and can be definitely de- pended upon. Ze is clean, capable and courageous. Me has the type of leadership that a coach is always locking for. | believe he was captain of the littenberg College team. Fitzer has been wery simeere in his desire to obtain an edudation, and the fact that he is a very successful coach end a teacher confirms this opinion.
