I am very happy to write you in behalf of Mr.
Chatles Elliott, a junior at the University of Kansas,
who is applying for enlistment in the Air Forces En-
listed Reserves and for appointment as Aviation Cadet
(deferred plan), in the United States Army.

Charles Elliott is one of the outstanding students
on the campus. He is active in University affairs. At
the present time he is a member of the Relays Committee,
Owl Society, Sigma Delta Chi, Sachem; and the Men’s Stud-
ent Council. He has been managing editor of the Universit.
Daily Kensan, and at present is the sports editor

paper. He has participated in intramural basketball and
football.

‘Elliott has a keen mind, is loyal and cooperative,
end has a fine personality. His character is of the high-
est. He has an excellent record here at the University,
