Stafford, Kansas. June 16, 1942, Dr. Forrest C. Alien, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Dr. Allen:- Sometime ago I received a letter from Dr. J. lL. MeCorison, President of Yankton College, Yankton, South Dakota, to ascertain if I would be available as a candidate for the position of Direetor of Athleties and Coach in the ecdllege. I sent him the information he asked for. I was wondering if you would care to write him a letter in my behalf. I told him I served on your coaching staff for three years. I do not know what my chances are of receiving the appointment, but I would like very much to have a chance at it. I feel fully confident that I could make a success of it. I am enclosing the two letters I received from Dr. MeCorison so you may understand better the situation as it is at tthe present time. I would appreciate it if you would return them to me. Hoping this finds you and your family in good health, I am, Sineerely, 5iins Sh Set | Mano W. Stukey MWS: EW
