Dear Mre Auld:

On January 14th you sent a letter to the University of
Kansas, Athletic Associetion, asking that we give consideration to
the qualifications of Ray Ne Brinkman for a sales position with your
companys This letter was turned over to me since I was director of
athletics when Ray Brinkman was in school.

On January 15th we wrote Ray Beinkean stating that we hed
a letter from you and we called his attention to the fact that he
borrowed some money from us while he was at the University so that
he could take some correspondence worke We informed him thet this
was our personal moneye fe further stated that after making severe
al efforts to collect the money all of which were ignored, we were
wondering if he cered to liquidate that indebtedness before we
made a reply to the companye ‘This communication, likewise, was
ignored.

We ere returning this Confidential Peport to you, desir-
ing to make no comment whatsoover.
