We have an excollont outeof-doors set-up, Ruth, with our hockey
fiold, tennis courts, baseball diamond, horseshoes, volley ball, deck tonnis
and handbell courts. Our gymmasium, built in 1906, and accomodating both
the men and women, is woefully inadequate. The women are working toward a
new Woman's Building, all thoir own with two gym floors, o dance studio,

@ swimming pool, a corrective room, bowling alleys, lounge, kitchenette and
all the modern equipment. I have the drawings of the plans in my office,
and I would like to have you stop in and soe thom.

That will be wonderful, to have a building for the women alone
and to have such a wonderful one. But what openings are there for me after
I have my degree in physical education?

The opportunities for women are manifold in the physical education
profession. The most strategic of which is the elementary physical education
teacher. In her hands is the development of tho character of hundreds and
hundreds of children. Paramount with the responsibility of the elementary
teacher is tho socondary school physical cducation toachor. During tho
adolescent poriod, the girl is most susceptible to suggestion and leader=
shipe These two teachers accept immeasurable rosponsibility in the mold-
ing of the future citizens.

The field of supervision is open for many. Large cities and
communitios require the suporvision of the physical educational work in
the elementary schools. Funds sare ofton insufficient for physical edu-
cation teachers for tho grades and the supervisor in cooperetion with
grade teacher directs the physical activities to the best advantages. In
secondary schools of small communities the position of physical education
teacher in connoction with other school subjects is necessary.
