September 28, 1945 Mr. Ge le Jarvis, President First National Bank of Winfield Winfield, Kansas Dear Mr. Jarvis: I have just checked on the cost of the Greens for. an eighteen hole golf course which we abandoned three years ago in favor of a nine hole course, The cost of upkeep and maintenance of the Greens ran about $4500.00 to $4800.00 per year. Since we have reduced to a nine hole course the cost of labor has risen quite sharply so I cannot give you an accurate ostimate. The cost for the Grass Greens on the nine hole course runs about $3100.00 to $8200.00 dollars. So I would say you could figure an eighteen hold Grass Greens upkeep would cost you between $6000.00 and $5500.00 per year. At least that is what they cost USe _. Thank you very much for the sketeh of the pool and information in your letter. I appreciate the same. If there is any further information we can serve you with please call on us. Sincerely, Director of Physical Education, Varsity Basketball Coach ~ FCA : LM | | | /
