CASHIER ‘WINFIELD, KANSAS September 26, 1945 Forrest C. Allen, President Levwrence Country Club Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: Yours of the 24th received, and beg to advise, the man who wes secretary when the club was organized passed away about 3 years ago, and the present secretery is unable to find any plans or specifications for the pool. I have drawn a rough sketch which may help you some. : One end of the pool is 39 inches deep which extends for about 20 ft. and we have a rope across to keep the children in the shallow end of the pool. There is a gradual slope from the <0 ft. on to the other end of the pool, and the deep end is 9 ft. I suggest that you make the deep end about 10 ft. if you have a rather high tower. The wall of the pool is 11 inches thick, and of course, it would be necessary to build a form to pour the cement in, and the cement should be re- inforced. And, also, they have a material that they put in the cement so it wouldn't ebsorb water. We have a 6 ft. walk all the way around the pool. Our pool cost us $1600. We change the water in the pool every week during the summer time. Very glad to give you this information, end if there is any- thing else we could possibly help you with, we would be very glad to do so. Yours very truly, a oo li eee ae G.
