Dear Dr. Allen:

When Mr. Raport left last spring he
takked of the possibility to me that you might
be able to work something out for me with your
fencing classes. Jim said he would speak to you
himself before he left.

Jim had me assist him with most of his
fencing classes last year and I really enjoyed
ite This summer I am handling the fencing at this
camp and am getting much more experience. 50, I
feel qualified to fit into your fencing program
in anyway that you find fit. I have had experience
in teaching all three weapons; foil, sabre, and
epee.

My classification will be a junior and.
I am living at Lawrence with my aunt, Miss Kathleen
Doering of the Entomology Dept, whom you probably
know.

Mr. Cheley at this camp would gladly
recommend me and Jim Raport would also tell you
anything more about me that you wish to know.
